Matthew Goldberg is an Associate at The Ezra Company’s Washington D.C. office, where he specializes in commercial tenant advisory services and exclusive buyer agency throughout the Metropolitan area. He assists tenants by performing a thorough review of their lease and preparing detailed lease abstracts and extensive market research so they have a better understanding of their rights, options and remaining liability.
Matthew is a 5th generation Washingtonian growing up in Potomac, MD. He attended, James Madison University, where he earned a B.A. in Sports Management and B.S. in Business Administration. During his junior year, he studied abroad in Florence, Italy studying Art History. Before graduating, he interned for Octagon Sports and the Washington Wizards.
He began his professional career as a Natural Gas clerk on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX). Where he was responsible for accounting, maintaining positions, market analysis/research and risk management for his traders. Matt decided the floor wasn’t for him and went back to school at the Institute of Audio Engineering, where he earned a degree for Audio Engineering. From there, he started working at Diddy’s studio where they were filming the #1 MTV series at the time, Making The Band. He transitioned into tour managing said group, which lead to his move to Los Angeles.
For the past 6 years, Matt represented Grammy Winning Artists and Multi Platinum selling Producers. He coordinated various tours and was responsible for breaking new artists you hear today. However, the West Coast wasn’t home and decided to move back to Washington D.C. where he has a solid network in the real estate industry. His team consists of Glenn Meltzer and Robert Katz.
