Mark Ezra is a Principal and Member of the Board of Directors of The Ezra Company. He is involved in assisting the management team with the overall strategy for, and driving innovation at, The Ezra Company.
From 2009-2018 Mark acted as Chief Operating Officer for The Ezra Company where he was responsible for the day to day management of the company. During this time, Mark saw the need to expand Ezra’s platform to better service its clients worldwide, which resulted in Mark founding Exis, one of the largest and most influential global tenant representation organizations in the world. Mark is currently a board member and was the past Chairman of Exis.
In Mr. Ezra’s early career with The Ezra Company, he quickly rose to the position of Senior Vice President and was a leader in The Ezra Company’s growth. He began the National Accounts Division and represented numerous fortune 500 companies in complex lease, purchase and build-to-suit transactions throughout the United States totaling over 3.5 million square feet. During Mr. Ezra’s career as an active broker, he was the recipient of numerous awards acknowledging his leadership in the industry, including the Greater Washington Commercial Association of Realtors Rooky of the Year Award and Lifetime Million Dollar Leasing Club Award, and numerous internal awards bestowed by The Ezra Company, including Top Producer.
While working with technology clients at The Ezra Company, Mark saw a gap in the market between tenant demand for technology buildings and the shortage of supply. Mark co-founded Core Location—an innovator in building mega carrier-neutral telecommunications and Internet data center facilities. Core Location developed over 2.7 million square feet and quickly became known as the preeminent datacenter landlord.
Following a successful exit from Core Location and before returning to The Ezra Company as COO, Mark founded and served as Chief Executive Officer of another technology company—Honesty Online, which built patented technology focused on providing online identity verification for online communities.
Mr. Ezra attended American University where he received his B.S.B.A. in both Real Estate and Finance.
Mr. Ezra is a graduate and board member of MindShare, an invitation-only regional organization for CEOs in the technology community. He is also a lifetime member and board member of The Commercial Real Estate Brokerage Association of Greater Washington, DC.
Mr. Ezra holds the SIOR (Society of Industrial and Office Realtors) designation, a distinguished designation for top real estate professionals. Additionally, he is a member of The Economics Club of Washington, an invitation-only membership composed of prominent business leaders within the region.
Mr. Ezra is honored to be selected to sit on The CREtech Leadership Board, comprised of leading thought leaders in the commercial real estate tech sector. The Leadership Board was developed to bring CREtech’s audience the most important insights and tech trends.
